There’s never been a farm exactly like Gatherwise. Nestled on a misty hillside on the outskirts of Portland, OR, the garden at Gatherwise farm is designed with one thing in mind—promoting total skin wellness.
Gather
Community-sourced and carefully curated plants are chosen for their innate natural skincare benefits and grown organically under the watchful eye of owner and herbalist Melissa Fuller. Constant tending allows her to maximize control over environmental influences and to harvest each plant at its peak.
Community
The origin of the garden was community-driven, sown with plants and seeds gifted from the gardens of local friends and families, reclaimed wild plants that grew scattered about the property, and seeds sourced from small, local Oregon companies.
Cultivate
The magic starts in the soil. Built on the site of a former horse pasture, the garden’s ground is nutrient-dense and further enriched by organic local topical composts as well as farm-generated amendments like fertilizer and eggshells from the chickens of gatherwise farm.
Reap
Now the majority of the plants are grown from the seeds of the previous year. 75% of all gatherwise plants are harvested directly from our farm, and 80% of the plants thrive locally in abundance.
